I am sure that most people who buy from these shops do so, at least in part, because they support the aims of the respective charity and not only because they hope to discover an underpriced gem. Sometimes when I drop items off I have a browse in the books and audio sections. My local Barnado's has a section for old vinyl with prices starting at £2. Most of these lps are awful easy listening stuff in a terrible state and will never sell even at that price. However, I guess that any good stuff is probably snapped up instantly by those who visit more frequently. On more than one occasion I have suggested to staff that they are underpricing some books, lps or cds, though I don't think they have ever acted upon my advice. I can understand why they list stuff on ebay though it is a real shame that there are not more "social outlets" for quality goods!

Point Taken - but its not how it used to be.....now something of value its straight to ebay or look in the completed listings to see what the last item went for...dont get me wrong im happy to give the money but some are silly pricing to the highest. PS the thread is about speakers and are they worth bothering with am stating how i feel they go about things...
