Default Hello from the Peak District UK - getting into valves!

    Morning Folks,

    Just to quickly introduce myself...

I'm a saxophone player, Jazz fan and collector of Jazz Vinyl.

Listening wise i do dip into all sorts of other genres though

I've been into HiFi for many years although not obsessively.

My main system is: Well Tempered Amadeus, Sonneteer Sedley, Sonneteer Orton, Audio Note AN-J.

I also have a Naim Unitilite and some Rega RS3 speakers in another room.

I'm currently looking for a valve amp to sit in my vinyl system so will enjoy quizzing all you valve experts out there!

    thanks

    Nick

    Hi Nick. Welcome to AOS.

That's a nice selection of gear you have. Well chosen.

As I'm sure you know, the choice in valve amps is more or less unlimited. All down to budget and power requirements really. Are you going for pre-power or integrated?

Anyway. There's a whole lot going on here, so have a look around and join in the fun!

    Enjoy the forum,
    Geoff.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Thanks Geoff. I've been through a few incarnations to arrive at this setup. Always something to tinker with though!

I've opened another specific thread but my budget is up to £1500. More if i sell the Orton.
Had thought integrated but could be swayed to go pre power if theres a good case.
I'm probably the sort to buy and leave for a few years at least so want to get something decent!
