I always found these machines rather odd and quite domestic in their input facilities and protocol - very similar to the B67 in terms of transport.
This one looks a little weathered but the heads seem ok from the pics at least.

The A700 was the top of the line in the 70s over the A77 and B77 according to wiki
The PR99 came later in the 80s and I also prefer them as well as I have 2 of them
One thing I dont like about the A700 is slider pots as once they go they are usually irreplaceable.
