“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

This may seem a stupid question ( Yeah it is Brian) but is there any exercise value in your activity, apart from the fresh air of course.
Whatever, it seems like good fun !. Enjoy. best wishes

I looked into one as well, a different brand, but looked nearly identical. Due to my mobility issues, I thought it might let me on some nature trails where my motorbike isn't allowed. I'm glad to hear how much you like it!

Yes Brian there is still exercise to do on the bike as you can do as little or as much pedalling as you wish, or your fitness level will allow

There are 3 levels of 'power' to choose. On Eco level the assistance is only about 25%, Normal is about 50% and High about 75%. I have been using it mostly on Normal but as my fitness improves will use Eco level and only use the higher levels when I get tired

What it means for me is that I can now ride with groups of much higher fitness and experience than myself and still keep up and enjoy the ride

The new bike also handles much better than my old Kona mb and is much more fun. I love it

That s interesting Bev, I just presumed it was kind of let the train take the strain situation and the rider kind of had a big cigar on. ! Thats great though. Excellent.
Used to do a fair bit of road biking myself but its lessened off now with this hernia of mine. But nothing better beats cycling for exercise and getting around. Enjoy
