    Default Wharfedale Dovedale Speakers?

    Hi folks

Whilst out house hunting today I came across these up sale. Any of you folks know anything about them at all? Didn't get to hear them. Ran out of time. The seller will audition them when I get back on Wednesday if I'm interested. I know zilch about them, so would I be wasting my hard earned cash on a potential money pit or are these something really worth picking up. Overall cosmetically they are pretty solid. Words of wisdom as always gratefully accepted. I won't mentioned how much the ticket says on them just yet, it'll be interesting to read what you guys reckon!!

    Cheers

    Loz

    grab em and listen.
Ive got some very similar Kit Speakers and they sound great if your amp has enough current to control them.
(Im using them with a Toshiba 7100 receiver)
    ;-)
Id pay EUR 50, anytime, anything above that would be depending on condition, but defo not more than EUR 100,
replacements drivers will be virtually impossible to find, so Id not sink that much money into some ancient tech
    :-))

The Dovedale's are good fun. It's a big beefy sound with reasonably tight bass, quite detailed too, if not the last word in refinement. I'd not pay more than 80 for a pair though.
