    I'm Jonathan.

    Default Hello from Sacramento, CA

Although my own system is 2 channel Meridian digital based (808 + DSP 7200s), I found this forum as I was (and still am) looking for information on the bi-amp crossover for a pair of KEF 104/2s that I am trying to restore for my best friend. We both love classical music, especially opera in his case. I found the 104/2s at a garage sale, and there is a crossover issue that I will start a thread on after finding so much useful information on here already. Looking forward to meeting other music fans. My name is Jon and my handle refers to my odd way of looking at medical care.

    Hello Jon. Welcome to AOS.

I'm sure you can find some advice about the KEFs here. Start a thread in the Past Masters section and ask your questions.

If you have future plans for your system or your friend's system, we'd like to hear about them.

There's a lot going on here, so feel free to join in and chat with members. They are a friendly bunch.

    Enjoy the forum,
    Geoff.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Hello Jon! You are lucky to be in California, there seems to be a lot of hi fi gear out your way! Much of my own system here in VA was purchased from California. Can't wait to hear about your KEF progress.

Oh my god! There's nothing wrong with the bidet is there?

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”
