Default Help - My systems sound changes around 9.30pm

    Hi

Wondered if anyone could help me, when im using my system i notice a distinct change in sound around 9.30pm, the sound gets fuller and deeper, (richer ?),
problem is it doesnt sound right, pre 9.30pm the sound is great nicely balanced and very enjoyable. When the change comes it has the effect of stopping me whanting to listen as its not right. It doesnt make any difference if ive been using it all day or just a few hours.

Only thing I can think of is the local heavy industry (steel works) shuts down at 9.30ish as they only run 2 shifts.

Question is how do i find out whats causing it ?.

    thank you

I dont have any distractions like that, just me (unless my niece and nephew come around), and I have a dedicated listening room.

Hmmm i didn't believe power supply had much of an impact on audio gear until i remove a surge protector from my rig. Less noise was the result. Maybe you need to look into that.

Take the mains conditioner out and see if there is still an issue then.

Sounds different probably because the noise floor drops. Usually a system sounds better but I suppose it can go the other way.
    Main system : VPI Scout 1.1 / JMW 9T / 2M Black / Croft 25R+ / Croft 7 / Heco Celan GT 702

    Second System : Goldring Lenco GL75 / AT95EX / Pioneer SX590 / Spendor SP2
