It's a good idea and I'll certainly support it in any way I can. As a forum, we've exhibited an 'AoS system' three times at Scalford, and all three occasions were a huge success

Back then, the kit demonstrated was taken from systems belonging to the (then) mod team, but if we're going to exhibit an AoS system this time, I think all the kit should come from the membership, so we should collate together a list of kit from all members who'd like to submit something to the system, and then take it from there

wonderful idea , I have already suggested this in another thread
ou might slip, you might slide, you might
Stumble and fall by the road side
But don't you ever let nobody drag your spirit down
Remember you're walking up to heaven

Don't let nobody turn you around
… Walk with the rich, walk with the poor
Learn from everyone, that's what life is for
And don't you let nobody drag your spirit down

    My thoughts are as follows

If we get allocated a large room there is plenty of space for several systems Each exhibitor can have several 30 min slots then time for a walk about

We have on the Sunday about 6 hours time , But add 2 this Saturday evening / night for some AOS fun

Marco has said he will support in any way he can , " Thats the bar bill covered then "

Indeed he did. But he forgot to mention that bar was only open for 30 seconds before doors opened

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Nah, sorry, that doesn't interest me, but if it's what most want, then cool, go ahead.

What I had in mind is ONE 'AoS system' being demonstrated, which is made up of various components/speakers owned by the AoS membership, and which other components/speakers belonging to members could be slotted into at various stages throughout the day, so that everyone gets a chance of hearing their kit, but in a defined context.

That, for me, is potentially much more interesting, liable to be less chaotic, and easier organised.

Lol - if this all goes ahead, I may drop a couple of hundred quid behind the bar for that purpose, so it's up to you guys to make it happen!

I've demonstrated at the Wam show and been in charge of rooms at real commercial shows. In reality I think you would find the '30 mins slot' a right royal PITA to do, and extremely tiring for all concerned. Bear in mind that when busy (which is most of the time) there isn't room to move in many rooms never mind shift gear about etc.
