Default Wigwam show Scalford Hall Melton mowbray 2017

    Hi People

Just to let you know the bookings for rooms are now open and its open to ALL not just WW members

I have my name down for a room 3rd time exhibiting for me plus 2 years as a wall arounder

This IS a unique event and a great weekend , I hope Jim ( JVS ) is doing the PIE run again

Also Jerry does his cancer research auction at this event so if you are able to donate some music or hifi items it all goes to a great cause , Jerry also shows the till roll print out so you can all see how much has been raised

If you stay Saturday night its a good vibe in the bar

ou might slip, you might slide, you might
Stumble and fall by the road side
But don't you ever let nobody drag your spirit down
Remember you're walking up to heaven

Don't let nobody turn you around
… Walk with the rich, walk with the poor
Learn from everyone, that's what life is for
And don't you let nobody drag your spirit down

When exactly is it, and what gear will you be demonstrating Al?

Oops - just looked at the link. It might clash with next year's MiBO (if there is one).

    Not sure yet Barry ,
What I use depends on my location , If I'm up 2 flights of stairs will be different than being on the ground floor

I'll be attending the Wam show as usual - as a visitor rather than an exhibitor (friends have been pushing me to exhibit but it would be a massive PITA to move my system there). Again, as usual, I will be propping up the bar on the Saturday night too.

I, for one, would appreciate it if that could be avoided.

Yes, the Scalford show is a great day or weekend out.
It's a very friendly show with a great vibe to it.

There are always interesting gear and people to be found. And some great new music to discover.

A slight change to the rules this year, exhibitors must book an overnight room at the Scalford Hall hotel on the Saturday night, with the main open-to-the-public Show being on the Sunday.
Much fun to be had on the Saturday, a great social event for those inclined that way. And most systems being set up and available for audition on the Saturday, too.

Yep, the "Bring & Buy" charity event around Scalford17 has kicked off already.
Generous donors and buyers have so far raised £217.45 for Cancer Research UK, which is not at all bad when the Show is still 4 months off.
Scalford16 raised over £1400 in advance of the Show weekend!

Sadly, due to family commitments it looks like I will not be able to attend the Show myself. The first Scalford I will have missed.
It's very likely that someone else will come forward to look after the "Bring & Buy" charity event over the actual Show weekend.

But for the nonce, I am looking after this aspect of the Show's charitable events. I am certain that the traditional Scalford Raffle will also take place, but someone else will look after that.

So if any folks would care to donate items for sale, let me know!
Sell them yourself and pass the money on, or send the items to me and I will be happy to raise as much as I can for them.
