    Default Hello from Amsterdam

    Hi all,

I registered a while ago, but never took the time to properly introduce myself here... So time for a change

I'm into music since I was little and still have (and listen to) the first LP I asked my mom for my 10th birthday: Sgt Pepper's! Nowadays I listen mostly to jazz and all kinds of electronic music; at home and live.

My first serious setup (approx 14y ago) was:
    - AN Oto
    - AN/J
    - AN/DAC1
    - CEC TL 5100 transport

I sold that set after 5y and then had a somewhat restless period with a lot of different amps, streamers and dacs. To name a few: Meishu, Pass Labs 150, Manley 25/20+Shrimp, Metrum Octave, MHDT Pagoda and an all Naim setup. Speakers though have always been Audio Note.

About 3y ago I sold it all (except for my speakers - AN/E) and went back to my first love, the Oto (Phono Signature this time). Next to these my current setup consists of:
    - Metrum Menuet
    - Auralic Aries
    - LP12
    - Audio Innovations SUT series 1000

Plans are to sell my AI SUT and have Tribute Audio custom wind one for me.

    Thanks for reading.
    Sebastien

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Hello Sebastien. Glad to see you joining in. Welcome to AOS.

You obviously like the Audio Note equipment. It has many fans here.

Apart from the SUT, if you have further plans for your system, we'd like to hear about them.

As you obviously know the site, it would be good if you got involved and chatted with members.

    Enjoy the forum,
    Geoff.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
