    Default Sony X555ES CD Player

    Hi All,

Im having a major clear out after falling in love with Valve amps & falling out of favour with Digital formats.

Up for sale is my Sony CD player.

    Here are the pics.

This thing is in outstanding condition and works perfectly. It plays very badly scratched CDs so there is no issue with laser strength either. Its a 220v model which I imported from Germany. I enquired with Alan (Firebottle) about adding a transformer for use in the UK but he said there was no need due to its low power consumption. Ive been using it on 230v standard UK voltage without issue.

There is no remote included as I dont have one.

There is one currently on ebay ( Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/112334726716 ) in excess of £500 but in the spirit of the forum, im not trying to make a profit.

    £300 collected
£300 + postage delivered. Quote to be obtained upon enquiry.

I will post to anywhere, with insurance and i will package it to withstand a nuclear war BUT I wont accept a return in any circumstance for damage occured in transit.

    Thanks

    Oliver

Lmao, ive tried all sorts, valve buffer, analogue sounding DAC, differ cables but CD just doesn't do it for me. No point beating around the bush. Someone will get a fantastic CDP for a very reasonable price.

I have no problems at all with CD sound in my system, but then I've never had a good TT and phono stage here at the same time hopefully that will all change with Jake's old gate audio pre and my RD11 once they are in the same building whenever that may be..

The phono stage in the sony is excellent to be honest. My turntable is very good too. I just dont find the CD "sound" enjoyable. Ive even tried other peoples systems and without spending ££££'s it just doesnt work for me. I prefer vinyl and want to pursue that avenue further.
