should be OK if it genuinely has the correct volts and amps?

The 2A3 Puresound doesn't seem to have any exotic components on board. Mine has OEM trade Solen and panasonic caps that cost a couple of quid each. Don't know about the resistors? From the emails I get the impression that Guy isn't into wasting money un-necessarily on expensive components.

It's not in his "official" line up, but he's made them for folk who have asked.
“Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio”

    Paul,
    another +1 for Nick's 300B amp.

Big testament to the guy (aside from knowing him personally, hence knowing He's forgotten more about valve amp design than a lot of folk actually know) but I genuinely could not afford to improve upon the amp he built for me, even if it were possible which even as a layman I kinda doubt.

Having 'seen the light' and discovered valve amps (I'll never go back) Nick's amp is the best I've ever heard, never mind owned.
Recently went 'full bhuna' valve wise and swapped out the good but entry level 300B valves Nick supplied with the amp to something a whole heap of better, and the amp showed exactly what the valves brought to the table.

As Ali said, the power regulations better than anything you'd find commercially and as you go up the ladder you learn that power is everything.

    Contact Nick.
    Seriously.
