You are forgiven and happy to be corrected except there is nothing in your post that actually explains what the problem is with the 'pay or f**k off' ultimatum. Unless you are saying that UK tax law is so complex no-one really knows what they 'should' be paying? I can appreciate that is an issue.

What I am suggesting is the UK closes these loopholes unilaterally by physically stopping business who exploit them from trading in the UK. I'm suggesting this as a principle btw, in practice I accept it would not be simple.
