I assume you have read the rather poor reviews this CD player got upon its release. The LE version got better reviews but generally the CD11 (in the UK) was considered Marantz first highend turkey, it was an early Bitstream (7321 Chip), which might have been part of the reason. The LE was based on the 7350 Chip and TDA 1547. I personally don't like Bitstream early or DAC7 but everyone likes different things.

So I would ask for a CD11 LE not a CD11. Or if you are willing to pay more a CD7 is a multibit stunner.

As a reminder don't buy any early 90s or 80s Marantz without the seller having the transit bolts for the mechanism. If its shipped without it will become a lovely paper weight with no playback possible from the smashed CD mechanism.

There were fewer CD7s made, it was a genuine limited edition. I am lucky to own one.
