Default F/s ipl s2tlm transmission line speakers

My system evolution continues and space is at a premium so these lovely IPL S2 transmission line speakers are up for sale.

The believe the below link is the slightly newer version of mine but its a very similar speaker. Mine are complete with a matching filled base unit which raises them up further closer to ear level and makes them look more attractive I think. They are in very good condition with no major blemishes or knocks. The veneer job has been done very well and they have matching removable cloth front covers.

Sound-wise they have a very rich bottom end and benefit from a very decent ribbon tweeter which gives then a lovely detailed top end.

I've really enjoyed these speakers, they punch well above their price point - new models of these now go for about £1200 so grab yourself a bargain.

Id like £295.00 collected from Liverpool please (please excuse the dust in some of the pictures!)

I know you only put these on here today Ben, but I'd have expected them to be snapped up straight away at that price. The cabinets alone are worth that much. IPL make good speakers and their transmission lines, like these, are great fun!

Thanks guys, these are a stupendous bargain for someone, they absolutely trounced a pair of £900 monitor audio floorstanders I had before them. If I had the space I'd keep them but I don't unfortunately.

These are IPL S3tlm Ribbons, here's the original build thread for some reason the photos worked last night but I can't see them this morning. They are on Google images though.

I cant view the photos as I'm at work at present and pictures often don't load. Having just checked google images they do look to be my speakers though which is very interesting indeed. Thanks for that Lawrence its great to know some of their provenance. They seem to get some very high praise indeed as well.........I'm very tempted to withdraw this add and keep hold of them now. I might have to discuss the possibility with the wife tonight lol

fronts look slightly different, but otherwise seem to be same. certainly a good buy for someone looking for that type of speaker. rather attractive too.

A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

You have excellent drivers, a well designed box - I'd keep them and upgrade the crossovers with premium parts and rewire with good cable - they would be great.
