    Default WTD: TD160 Motor

Does anyone have a decent motor for a Thorens TD160 spare?
Must be fully working with a straight shaft and good bearings.

    Thanks

If you don't have any luck here, do bear in mind that you can get new improved ones from Hanze HiFi in Holland. The website is in Dutch but they do speak English! See https://www.hanzehifi.nl/merken-bezi.../thorens/td160

Thanks for the pointer, but I'm afraid at those prices, it would be an economic write off.

    Mk1 220v or latter IIRC 16V version

Have you checked eBay, they often pop up and some times not for more than a complete turntable can be bought for. Stay away from the stupid prices the seller in Switzerland thinks his stuff is worth its not.

Think I paid £25 for my spare
Current setup Thorens TD-160 Mk1 with Denon DL-110 MC Cartridge, Pioneer PD-8700 CD Player, Yamaha AX-592 Amp, Yamaha CDX-810 CD Player, Yamaha KX-480 Cassette Deck, Yamaha TX-492RDS Tuner, Monitor Audio Bronze 5 speakers, Van-Damme Cables throughout.

Thanks but I'm hopefully sorted via a Pink Fish member.
