Default Ferrograph YTS2 & ATU1 Tape deck anylyzer

Just picked up a Ferrograph YTS2 tape deck analyzer and ATU1 Aux test unit
It does Audio frequency Generator/Millivoltmeter/Wow-Flutter/Distortion meter
I found it whilst searching for a distortion analyzer
Pretty gob smacked when it arrived as it looks as though it has never been used besides a dent in the case its mint inside and out, and everything seems to be working inside and out
It also came with the original manuals so I will have to read up on how to measure distortion for different tape bias settings

Anyone have any knowledge of these test units ?

The interesting part for me is to find the lowest distortion point for each tape type with the optimum tape Bias
My Studer A810 allows me to calibrate for 2 tape types and 2 speeds for IEC when you get the tape bias right with the lowest distortion it is obvious but takes al ot of experimentation .

If this unit allows me to set the lowest distortion at 1K and then play with the best EQ at 10 + 16k then I am hoping to get the maximum out of each tape type I use RMG LPR 35, SM911 & SM900 and Maxell XLI
