Hi Peter,
I'm a little interested in this, although I've recently bought a Kinshaw Perception phono-stage. I'm using a Len Gregory Music Maker 3 moving iron cartridge and wondering how this valve phono-stage would sound with it etc...?
Although it's for MM only, can you adjust the loadings etc..? What are the make of the valves etc?
Regards;
Peter
Hi Peter.
It will work perfectly with the Music Maker. This is the second one of these that I've had, and am only selling as it was on my second system, which has got little use recently (hence the sale of the turntable). I have owned an EAR 834P in the past, and am of the opinion that the 33 is better. Compared with the EAR and a typical solid-state phonostage, this seems to me to be a good half-way house, with good detail allied to a spacious presentation. Certainly the Music Maker is an excellent cartridge and will bring out the best in it. Valves are a pair of ECC83s, Golden Dragons, so easy enough for valve-rolling, if that's your thing

I'm Chris.
You have PM
These are simply great.
I've been through loads of phonostages ....
Had one of these
Sold it.
Immediately regretted it.
Bought it back from Jake / Lordmortlock soon afterwards.
Very good and in my opinion a cracking buy at the asking price.
