Default BBC radio 2 night service

    WTF have they done

It was entertaining at night and now as a reward for us loyal listers we get this shite

RADIO 2 has axed its After Midnight weekday shows to cut costs “in line with the rest of the BBC”, it said yesterday.

The stations late night 12am to 3am and 3 to 6am programmes with hosts Janice Long ( 11 years service ) , and Alex Lester ( 30 years service ) are now AXED

We now get re runs of programs all aired many times before , Its now lifeless , no interaction no fun no ongoing themes no nothing its crap

FIRE whoever decided this ASAP PLEASE

Blame the Tory government as they have long had the BBC in their sights! Partly crude ideology: they are opposed to public service broadcasting and want to open private sector investment opportunities to their cronies. Partly spite: they despise the BBC for what they see as anti Tory bias!

This is not the first nor will it be the last cut at the BBC!

Personally, I couldn't stand Alex Lester, the "Dark Lord" and Janice Long was bland. I enjoy the re-runs and note that Hughie Morgan is now back playing interesting music.

    All good for me.
