    Hi folks

I suspect that a number of you already know me, yep I'm willbewill, an admin from Lenco heaven.

I tend to build or heavily modify my system components, at present I'm using a PTP baseed Lenco with Audiomods arm, CNC phono, heavily modded AT95e, NVA passive pre, TP3116 amps and DAli Zensor 1.

Alongside this is a digital streaming system based on Vortexbox, Raspberry PIs and Squeezebox duet.

I listen a lot on headphones nowadays: Amps- Burson Soloist, Bottlehead Crack, Little Dot 1, Epiphany acoustics Objective one...Phones: Sennheiser HD600, HD540, and modded HD555, AGK 240, 340, and 240 Sextett.

Also playing with a lot of the lower priced dacs, especially for RPi.

Music is mainly rock, electronica, folk etc., I like very little Jazz and classical, also hate 'brown furniture'.

    Hi Malcolm. Welcome to AOS.

Yes. I do know you from LH. It's a nice place.

You'll also know quite a few of our members. I guess they'll be along to say hello.

As you can see, there is a very broad spectrum of topics here, so get stuck in and chat with folks, the members are friendly.

    Enjoy the forum,
    Geoff.

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

    Welcome to AoS Malcolm,

There are plenty of Lenco afficionados here, so you should feel right at home.

(What is "brown furniture", is it a music genre?

    Enjoy the Forum

Brown furniture is a term in antiques but basically I don't like seeing dark brown would used for Hi-fi.

Rebodied it in a Midas body and potted with epoxy, also cut down stylus assembly.
