Hiraga amps have been used with Quad 57s, a capacitive load, however, I would be nervous due to the lack of a Zobel network on Hiraga amps.

Given what you bought the amp for, I think a bigger concern would be that it runs hot as hell. You don't buy a pure class A amp as a summer one.
