KENWOOD KT-5080 tuner display brightness.

Hi guys.
Can anyone please tell me how I can adjust the display brightness on my tuner ?

Can't find a pic with a quick search, but if it is illuminated with miniature bulbs/lamps then really the only way is to fit some resistors in series with the bulbs.

This may take a little bit of experimentation with the resistor value, try 100 ohms to start with.

And if the display has gone dim, one or more of the bulbs may have blown.

I was hoping that the brightness would be adjustable but I can't find a manual online anywhere for it .
