    Default FS: Ruark Templar Speaker

    Hi all,

Bought these recently. They are in nice condition but not perfect.

They are an excellent speaker. Very balanced and clean. Sonically neutral and have surprisingly low bottom end.

The best recommendation for the speaker's is that I've never heard a bad word about them.

No Postage due to weight (they are both sand filled, probably got 1lb in both of them)

I also have the floor spikes.

Both mid/bass drivers are immaculate and the the treble driver(?) Is perfect too. No creases or wrinkles at all.

They do have some age related marks and the ones I've found are highlighted in the pictures. There may be more I haven't noticed so I insist on an inspection before purchasing. They can be demonstrated working.

Here a lots of very good pictures to satisfy our Mods !!!! 😀

I had to try had to get a picture of this as photographing black item in detail is difficult. When the speaker is in use and sounding fantastic, this is not visible to me from my seating position and I'll be surprised if you noticed it in the overview pictures.

Matching serial numbers too. I found one of the grill posts missing when I took delivery of them and a few pulls on the grills but for very sensible money I don't think you can go wrong with these.

In the spirit of the Forum I'll take £130 for them which is less than I paid.

    Oliver.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

These were about £700 new 20 years ago. Good small speaker, sealed cab, no ports, easy load, work close to wall, ideal for the smaller room.
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.

Yes Macca, they are very excellent indeed. I have nothing but good things to say about them.
