    Default Micromega

Anyone heard the latest range of CD players from Micromega! The Micromega player i had before the one i got now was the 'Minium' which looks very simular to these new ones but was from the Micromega company before now. I love the high quality matt brushed finish of the micromegas & the sound is superb to boot, the blue display is larvley

Too little, too late in a dead mid-range market.......

Any surviving audio dealers of "mid-range" stuff will have nasty memories of what went before and I suspect that none of them will give them house-room in the UK now...

Spot on. Not only didn't it sound all that, it was poorly made and over 100% unreliable. The importer did a wonderful job of replacing every faulty unit but there's only so many times a customer will accept a replacement before changing brand or demanding money back.

The second range wasn't quite as unreliable but by then we had all had enough and even the importer gave up.

Of course, the new products are likely to be better but who needs it now ?

This is not the same Micromega. The old company is dead and gone. Didier Hamidi owns Micromega now. The previous owner Daniel Schar is now head of R&D. Shades of Tag Mclaren perhaps in this ( Didier is an ex motorcyle racer). I wish them well, good reviews so far, but the past lurks high on this one. Despite Andre's great fortune many others were not so fortunate. I like Micromega bur reliability is not something they are well know for. Anyway new company...technically, so lets see what happens.
