Use Aleene's Original Tacky Glue, thinned very slightly with water. It retains a rubbery, very slightly tacky character once dry, similar to the original Plasticote. It's what I use for treating cones, surrounds and for general speaker repairs. I used it to replace my Tannoy surrounds.
