Hmm. Some decent big prawns French mayo and a bit of salad could go well.

If you like 'Le Rustique' Camembert, you might like Tesco's 'Pont L'Eveque': https://www.pongcheese.co.uk/shop/pont-leveque.html It's a firm favourite of mine.

Not sure I've tried that one Barry. I'll keep an eye out for it.

Cathedral City Special Reserve Limited Edition.
Minimum 36 months matured.Gold medal winner.

    Cheddar.

£4 for 300g at my local Tesco & was on for £2.80 for a short while, hence why I have rather a lot in my fridge.

Do not discount this as a mainstream cheese because of brand snobbery. It is superb, crumbly with a tangy slightly crystaline texture & a rich salty after taste.

Very good & an absolute bargain.Probably the best value properly matured cheddar around at the moment.

    Enjoy.

Not really keen on Cathedral City, it has a slight 'tang' that I don't like. I much prefer the McLelland Seriously Strong Cheddar (which has been half price this week) and the Maryland Farmhouse Cheddar, when it's in stock. They are both very tasty and remind me of the kind of decent traditional Cheddar that was about when I was a kid.

Just cut myself a chunk; well bits actually, as it kinda disintegrates..... very nice indeed and not what I would usually expect from Cathedral....creamy nd has a nice strong aftertaste

edit... an occasional bit of grittiness in there too
