I'm surprised. They may look basic and old fashioned - but partnered with valves very little matches their musicality. If I was in the UK I'd have them at that price.

    I concur.

Slap some good 211 based monos in front of them and they will come alive. At a price for the amps I admit, and it is arse over tit for the usual spend model. But it will work. Very well.

Forget accuracy but you will get euphony and enjoyment.

On first glance at this, I read this as pond dwellers, and I thought " yes, Steve, this is the right place."

    But now I see not.

Anyway, a vote of confidence for Steve. He knows whats what and these will be exactly as described.

A bargain price , Steve. Especially with those expensive stands. Good luck with the sale

Thank you Brian, very much appreciated.
To be honest, I'm quite torn between these and my WLMs that I've had for a long time (for me!), I've based my decision on the fact that the WLMs look better and more modern. Sonically I'd be happy with either. Swapping back after a week or two with the Es playing left me undecided but I need to move them on for space reasons. Maybe I should list them both and let fate decide for me.
