Default Brain failing: help me recall book on album reviews

Having been on the move for much of the last 20 years I have suffered various "transmission losses" in the sense that possessions did not necessarily make it to their next destination. One such loss was a paperback book with intelligently written articles about the best albums in different genres. Most of the albums were from the 1970's with a few from the 1960s and perhaps 1980s. The cover was red and green and may have featured an American style jukebox. I believe it was published by one of the tabloid newspapers or music magazines (NME perhaps).

Help me! It's driving me mad and google has proved useless!

Your next mission, should you choose to accept it ......

Could it have been "Tapestry of Delights"
    or "Fuzz acid and Flowers"
or even "Dreams Fantasies and Nightmares"

All published by Borderline Productions and written / researched by Vernon Joynson?

I have them all here if these are the books you are thinking of and you have anymore questions

No. It was something more literal I think, like "best albums of ..". Included review of albums by: Byrds, the Band, Van Morrison, Eagles, Fairport Convention etc

It is possible that Fred Dellar was one of the contributors. Each album featured was reviewed in a broad context as part of the overall output of the artist.

Fred Dellar has an "ask Fred" column in Mojo magazine. You could ask him

Could it be 'Classic Album Covers of the 1970's'
I should have this at home but can't find it.
I should also have 'The Album Cover Album' too.
Will need to try and find these now I have thought about them again.
