I have been listening to the "Firebottle Monos" for just over an hour. Compared to my back up amplifier (Arcam Alpha 10P) these are fantastic. So much more texture and detail, depth and control of the bass. I am very happy with these. It will take something special to beat them, and that will probably be out of my budget.

The business end now looks like this:

Visually very appealing and after hearing them I can completely agree with your assessment. So much so, I am now saving towards the same amplification. Very excellent indeed.

There is no way I could send these back, so the funds have been transferred and they are now officially mine.
The listening session last night was enough to convince me this was the right decision.

Being brutally honest, I am not overly keen on the plaque on the front, but when you power these up and start to listen you soon forget about them. I have purchased these using my ears rather than my eyes.

I hope that others get to hear what they are capable of as they are superb, especially when partnered with the KIN. I am very happy with my system now, and will start to look at minor tweaks to optimise what I have. Where did I put my cable lifter catalogue?

I was referring to the overall visual. Kin & Monos. I agree the plaque isn't quite as nice as the etching on the KIN so maybe I'll ask for them to be etched on mine next year, maybe (?) Lol

Surely it can't cost THAT much !!!

It would need a different case.
The case is of a high quality, and I guess that the plaque covers the volume control area. The plaque is also good quality, and does not come across well in the photos.

When the music is playing it is easy to forget this really minor point.

Ah, I see. Very clever use of the plaque then. Guess it's staying on then lol
