Default Vincent SP 991 Plus Class A monoblocks

Does anyone know anything about these ? Vincent SP 991 Plus Class A monoblock power amplifiers.

My local'ish hi-fi shop (Audio Emotion - Scotland) have a used pair for sale. Any views/experience/knowledge would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

They are not small are they

Apart from the size they are going to give out a lot of heat being 100W class A, plus increase your 'leccy bill. Just a couple of pointers for possible ownership.

They may sound great, they may sound terrible - I don't know because I have no experience of them - but I would advise caution about thinking they must be great because they're big, expensive and class A. Have a listen if Audio Emotion is close enough to justify a speculative trip.

I herd these many years ago at Sound of music in tunbridge wells.
Very good value for the money a good non fatiguing sound. Just watch your back when you lift or move them.

Obviously, you need to try them because at that price there is competition.

You also need to make sure there is back up if anything goes wrong.

Curious, what speakers would you be pushing with them?

Dont know if it helps but I just sold my vincent sp-331 mk and thought it sounded incredible driving my dali epicon 2's. I can only imagine these would be even better as separate mono's and we'll worth an audition I don't think you will be disappointed!!

Can't say as I've heard Vincent gear but I have been lusting after one of their CD players for a while now. Looks to be beautifully made and designed equipment.
