    Default Insuring 2 cars?

Just got given an old Nissan Micra, and thought I'd use it as a run-around for local stuff. Phoned my insurance broker and they said I'd need a separate policy (in addition to the existing one for my main car). They said that I'd already used my no-claims discount on the existing policy, so it'd be more expensive ... and, flippin' 'eck, it was! Trying to see if there is a way around this. Is there such a thing as a two/multi-car policy? I'm the only driver, so can't put it in someone else's name.

Have a chat with Aviva. I added a second car to my policy with them and they 'mirrored' my existing NCB, meaning I got a premium reduction of around 50%. They also gave me cover for a motorbike at a very low rate because of my current insurance with them.
