Give it a week or so Martin, in for a penny?
Manufacturer reccy (and user experiences) say 70 hours or so, I noticed the difference right away.
Might as well?
If it gets any better...great.
Re: safety/insurance...all valid comments.
My £0.02 and this is only my own thoughts pertaining to my system and choices...
As always with things electrical I'd say its down to the individual's choice.
Insurance companies will jump on anything rather than pay out, its how they make their money after all.
Anything at all they will use, should the worst happen.
Will it though?
Theres a popular Furutech foo plug thats technically doesnt meet UK 'insurance spec' but none have blown up.
People using elecrical mains products (used competantly of course) in their hifi's for many years without incident.
Caution in this area is valid and fair enough, but when you think about it not necessarily a direct comment on electrical safety, more about 'worse case scenario' choices for insurance purposes you make for own system.
I'm only advocating the sound quality improvement peeps, everything else is down to personal choice.
If you do swap out any fuses double check its the correct rating and is either slow or fast blow.
Then check again!
Some food for thought:

I'm gone.
These guys do http://www.analogueseduction.net/cat...plug-fuse.html
Well, you have to pay up front, but I've used them lots and they are happy to refund if you want to return an item for any reason.
.
This reminds me of when I switched energy supplier.
My old supplier got its electricity from an old coal based power station were as my new supplier receives it's energy from a new gas powered jobby.
I could of sworn my hifi sounded much cleaner.
Happy Days
There seems very little detail about this fuse on the Synergistic Research web pages.

Interesting:
NOTE: The “blow characteristics” will differ slightly (due to the different metallurgy of the fuse elements) between commercial grade and audio grade fuses. We can't guarantee that your audiophile grade fuse, won’t blow at a different in-rush current threshold, that your stock commercial fuse.

Ones from Hi-Fi Tuning, mate, like these: http://www.analogueseduction.net/hi-...ing-fuses.html
They certainly improve the sound, compared with that from a standard fuse, but can't comment on how they compare with the SRs Gaz uses. Somewhat cheaper, though!

Shame, as in my experience, that's where they often have the most effect, as that's where the biggest 'bottleneck' is!
Think about it... A big chunky 13A fuse inside a mains plug has a thicker filament inside it (and therefore lower resistance) than the thinner variety found inside a, much lower-amperage, equipment case fuse.
Often the latter are easily accessible, and found in a 'pop open' plastic holder next to the mains IEC inlet on the back of equipment, so not a major ball-ache to change.
