    MODERATOR SAFETY NOTE

During this thread it was 'suggested' that removing equipment fuses and effectively 'shorting' the fuse holder terminals either by the use of a copper rod or by soldering the connection is hereby NOT advisable.

    PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS.

    -----------------------

But then I sat down to listen...

Colour me skeptical, but took a punt and put one of these in my digital source, a Logitech Transporter.

    Component change level upgrade.
    Yup.

So much better sounding, bigger upgrade than any interconnect or even speaker cable change I've done...
    something fundamentals going on here...

Over time I'm kitting out the rest of my system with them, both internal and IEC socket.
All but one bits of my kit are fed power from my balanced mains, so just the one 13A to get.

No shades of grey "well...its a different flavour I guess?" self justification or expectation bias - it's a significant upgrade.
Have a pretty resolving system, think I'm now just getting the best out of it. YMMV of course.

Theres definately something to this clean power feeding your hifi lark...

    £90?

I hope is does not go pop, as that is one way of easily blowing money.

I would need two for my amp alone.

Aye....a wee bit salty, helps if I think of it as a sound upgrade rather than 'just a fuse'
I've spent a lot more on upgrades and had much less improvement in the past?
the power regulation on my kits pretty good, so no massive current swings and hopefully nothing goes bang.

Was sceptical, but a few 'common sense' guys I respect the opinions of on some of the American high end forums were raving about them.
A 30 day return period made me take a punt.
As always I dont pretend to know everything and just let my ears be the judge.

    Helluva upgrade peeps.

    Default How could this work?

If there is a scientific effect I'd be interested to see what members thought it might be

    for example

    better electrical conductivity

some phenominia conected with the transmission of frequency

an indirect effect on other components?

Know that the fuse element is made from graphene, which has different electrical conductivity than normal metal in fuses?
    Could that make a difference?

As always with me, its down to what I hear and this was a significant jump. more than any cable change as I said.
Just putting it out there, works for me.

I think you just need to picture the wire in a normal fuse - often thinner than a human hair. In any other situation such as water flowing in a pipe, light down a tunnel, people rushing through a narrow doorway, etc that would be bad.
