    Default PCM5122

Looks interesting. Not heard it though. It has a Burr Brown PCM5122 chip in it like many other Raspberry DAC's, including the IQ Pi-DAC. Greets

Maybe, we will soon be discussion the "sound" and merits of DAC chips, as we are discussing the sound of cartridges on TT's at present a new generation is born !

My personal favorite is the Audiophonics V2 board, which has a ESS Sabre DAC, I prefer it over the IQ, a punchier sound...

My guess is that the improvement in sound is more from the caps, clock, and other beefier components, rather than the chip itself...who knows, probably a combination of factors

    hey all,

Glad you found our products and that you think we have a clean design. We manufacturer them here in the UK with quality components and test every single one out of the factory so hope that is an attractive thing.

In any case - if perhaps you wanted to do some sort of round robin testing of any of the boards, we would be happy to send a couple out :-)

let us know also if you have any questions at all

Justboom are also supported 'out of the box' in DietPi which is pretty neat.

Hi Aaron I notice you have 'guide coming soon' for 'piCorePlayer', does that imply it's not yet compatible?

They are already compatible with the latest version of piCorePlayer - we just have not managed to write up a full setup guide yet, which will be completed in due course :-)
