    Default Recent Bowie Remastered CDs

    Hi guys,

My David Bowie collection is very thin on the ground. I have Let's Dance, Hours, ChangesBowie and The Singles Collection.

I'm thinking about buying some more such as Hunky Dory, Ziggy, Aladdin Sane, Low, Scary Monsters etc and they're pretty cheap on amazon; £3 - £4.

I note that some of these are quite recent remasters (2012, 2013 & 2015) and some reviewers on amazon rate them very highly.

Are they a decent option? I'm not about to spend big money on the RCA CDs, I just wanna make sure I'm not buying the worst versions really.

Yeah, my Bowie selection is shameful as is my Peter Gabriel selection. I'm really interested to see what you guys think in response to this thread.

They haven't been limited and compressed to death, if that's what you're asking.

I've only got a best of compliation ('Changes:Bowie') too. Shocking really. At least the re-masters are not heavily compressed. Makes a change.

Well, that's good news at least.

You defo won't go wrong Lee.

I plugged a couple of CD gaps very recently with 2015 re-masters and they are good.

For the money, no brainers in fact.

The 2015 Hunky Dory remaster is one of the best sounding CDs that I have.
