    I remember them well... Is Gilson Audio still around? They had branches in Billingham and boro years ago...

    Back in the 70's Gilson had a branch on post house wynd in Darlington, I remember going in there with my dad when I was a kid, same with McKenna and Brown

    Me too! There isn't a pub between Darlington and Middlesbrough that I didn't patronise in my youth ... unless it served Cameron's beer, which was truly and utterly undrinkable Tees river water, straight from the estuary at Hartlepool.

    Aye, the beer was rank like. Horrible stuff.

    Playing in bands the Cameron club was always a decent gig though. Nice big crowd for most events, they paid pretty well for the club circuit and would feed us too.

    We enjoyed playing there.
    One of these days... I'm going to cut you into little pieces.
