Modded td160 super Thorens ol encounter arm hana sl cart, angle audio studio pro mc virtual battery phono amp with separate psi, Onix pre and mono amps, Onix CD player, Onix BWD and soap tuner. B&W dm2 speakers or super pencil 12 speakers, atlas cables, seperate mains power supply with earth spike.
Plenty of fun the Cheviots. It's a very different sound to the DM2s though.
Good foam cone surrounds are essential or budget to replace them or recone. Mine had knackered surrounds when I bought them, I replaced them myself.
I had the Mk.I HPD 315 Cheviots, which are the most common. Currently I'm using the rare 3128 Mk.II Cheviot, which I find I prefer. The Mk.II was only made for about 11 months, so there are very few about.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

I'm Paul.
I love mine and they seem to be well received by any visitors (see NWBO thread). As Geoff says, a different presentation to the B&Ws. If you like it, I doubt you'll ever go back, but if you don't you should be able to flog a pair on quite easily.
