    Default Spotify on Raspberry Pi

Currently using Picore Player and happy with sound quality. However, would like to stream Spotify Premium. Any suggestions?

    Mopidy.

The easiest way to get it is to flash Dietpi and use the simple installer there.

By default it comes with the musicbox web interface but my preference is for spotmop as a web interface. There's also a very good Android app called Mopidy Mobile for controlling it with.

Have you tried the Spotify app in picore player? I purchased a cheap Bluetooth receiver (£20) and went that route, sounds great with Deezer, but you might want some thing better. If you have a iPad you can use airplay via moode.

This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

Geoff, as the guys have already stated, there are plenty of distros that let you AirPlay to them. However, i very much recommend the Spotify Connect option, even if it is kinda tricky to get working.
Once there you will have much improved audio and manageability from whatever Spotify client in your household. (On your network that is..)

    Barry,

if there is a means of acheiving this within PicorePlayer that would be ideal. How do I find and load the Spotify app?
