    Today had a nice surprise.
Current work place have asked me to stay on to assist the de-commission, initially accepted the offer with the proviso of confirming tomorrow.
A hour later received a mail from the company I had my interview with and had a job offer.
Great opportunity, something new ( a career change of sorts) and a good initial wage.
Definitely going to accept this position.
When I have the details of my departure from current employer completed I will let you know where and what I will be dong.
I'm a very happy Donkey Walker at the moment.
Looks like I will be starting within the next 2 weeks too

Looks like work will let me go on the 27th January.
This will be confirmed early next week. Though I now know the process of redundancy has been started for me.
Just need to wait it out now, will seem like a life time as I am not a patient person

If you are being made redundant - think of all that redundancy payout!

Good luck with your next position.

Unfortunately only been with the company for 3 years, so not much of a payout.

Well, I have only a day and a half left before I leave my current position.
I has been a strange few days, I will be greatly sorry to move on.
The electrical team are a great bunch guys (4 of us) we all get on and trust each other.
Will miss them a lot, I only hope my new job has the same type of great guys to work with and learn from.

We are all off to London on Saturday for a day out, should be fun

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”
