Aye, I was just clarifying. So what we may well have is something that will tick all boxes. It is a smaller file so more economical to store and easier to stream, which is good news for the provider; it also unfolds to extended bandwith AKA 'Hi Rez' (where the recording can benefit, and the amp and speakers can reproduce, but it satisfies a niche), does not have the excessive compression applied to (some) other masters of the same recording, and most importantly does appear to sound the better for it on some stuff, and none the worse on others.
