    Default 1210 feet

Just fitted Foculpods feet to my 1210, and when removing the stock feet, wondered why people bother changing them at all as to me they seemed quite well damped, any help? With the foculpods fitted and can't notice any discernible difference but its early days. I keep TT and amps on an Ikea shelf - you know the ones everyone has to store their vinyl!

I fitted a set of Isonoe feet you can tap the rack and nothing is picked up by the stylus when i had Foculpods feet if i tapped the rack thesylus picked it up see if you can borrow a set of Isonoe they have made a massive differance in my opinion .

I tried a set of Isonoes and heard no difference compared to using the stock feet.

I appreciate what people say about they absorb any taps to the shelf, but why would you be rapping your knuckles on the shelf when listening to your records?

I have tried all styles of feet and had Isonoes for a while. They were good and did the job well and looked good. I then changed to RDC cones and this changed the tone and gave a better feel for sound. I have now gone the alloy and brass spike route and the sound is so much better. A very tight bass is the most noticeable. Though I loved the Isonoes I was never happy with the bouncy feel. I understand if you have an environment where the deck is prone to outside influences etc. But sticking with the solid spikes for now. Try the RDC cones you will be surprised at the change in sound.

The reason you would want to use Isonoe feet over the stock feet is because no unwanted vibration will go into the turntable from the floor vibration (most notably from speakers or footsteps) which can go though the turntables feet, into the tonearm, through the wire, and then back into your equipment, which then goes back into the speaker.

This is the reason why Isonoe is really good at isolating vibrations from wherever the turntable is mounted.
Anyone who thinks CDs sound better needs to listen to my system. Besides, my cables sound better than yours.
