    No worries, Kev. I don't think you'll need 18g though, as the new gold body-shell will be considerably heavier than the stock plastic one it replaced, so you'll have to take that into consideration.

    To that effect, you don't really want any more than said 18g mass *in total*, including the weight of the cartridge itself and 'headhshell' of the FXR, or you could end up with a somewhat 'sat on' and over-damped sound.

    If that ends up being the case though, just use a lighter headshell weight. My advice would be firstly to install the cartridge as is and see how it sounds, then if necessary experiment with adding mass from there, obviously ensuring that you have the ability to balance out the weight at the other end

    Anyway, hope it hits the spot for you!
