    The Hootenanny has been crap the past few years and like so many here Jools sometimes gets right up my nose. However, you can't escape the guy is talented. 2016's Hootenanny however, i found interesting and very enjoyable.

    Cables & Sundries: Mark Grant HDX1 interconnects and digital coaxial cable, plus Mark Grant 6mm UP-LCOFC Van Damme speaker cable. MCRU 'Ultimate' mains leads. Lehmann clone headphone amp with vintage Koss PRO-4AAA headphones.

    Tube Distinctions digital noise filter. VPI HW16.5 record cleaning machine.

    Speakers: Tannoy 15MGs in Lockwood cabinets with modified crossovers. 1967 Celestion Ditton 15.

    I had had a few drinks by that point. Perhaps it was the rosy glow of nostalgia. Or something. At least she has some good tunes unlike 90% of the rubbish that gets on that show. Christine & The Queens? Don't give up yer day job sweetheart.

    I can't stand Chaka Khan but your description made me look Reminded me of a balloon sculpture! At least she's had that revolting gap in her teeth fixed.

    In my humble opinion, Later... with Jools Holland is at best bland with the occasional interesting act. I mean how many times do we need to see Tom Bloody Jones on the show! On the other hand I don't mind Jools Holland.

    Bring back The Whistle Test and/or The Tube I say. British music television needs a right good kick up the jacksie!
