Wise man. Time to take the sledge up the park?

No park round here. There is some waste ground but it is too flat and anyway it is fenced off.

    And I don't own a sled.

    Otherwise, good idea.

Lol! No parks? We've got umpteen here in Wrexham... And they're all beautifully kept, too.

Anyway, just got a load of logs, wood and coal in, so that if we wake up to 6ft of snow tomorrow, I'm not having to plough through it all to get at what we need

The wind turned earlier today. It's coming from the northwest now, so it's bringing arctic weather down from the north Atlantic.

Not here. Just a bit cold at the moment, not even much wind.

I'll come up to yours then for a snowball fight!

Aye it was bitter when I left work earlier. Cuts right through you. I've got a pal who is looking to retire to Portugal. Might wait until he s settled, go for a visit and just not leave.

I mean it is not as bad as Scotland here but for most of the summer it is a bit nippy, never mind the winter.

Move a few miles up the road to Wales

Stoke does seem to be, overall, a rather grey and depressing place.
