    Default Valve advice please

OK, I've had the amp about a month and... you know how it is

    EL34 v KT88 by Gold Lion.

I know what I already have but what would I get with KT88's...?

...completely different valves that aren't compatible with EL34's.... (no matter what a manufacturer may say).

I've tried JJ KT88 in my Primaluna Prologue 5 power amp. Compared to EL34 I found they offered more consistency from top to bottom, even handed. Less pronounced mids, matched to better bass. More modern sound. Saying that I love EL34s too.

The JJs are renowned for their solid state like bass, deep, tight and controlled. They are also very clear and clean, not vintage.
