    Default How about a Telefunken?

Now, as and when I get some more funds together (i.e. I stop buying 15 IPS tapes), one of these will be high on my shopping list - all completely refurbished and some with new heads. Good value, particularly as the M15, M20 and M21s were of similar quality to the Studer A80.

For GBP2k, I could get a refurbished M21 for the same price as a shagged A80 - I know which one I would have

The M15 and M20 series were widely used in Europe. Bombproof like the A80s but significantly cheaper.
