    Hello, I'm James, based in ye olde green and pleasant land. I have joined the forum in search of knowledge, partliculary with regards modifying old speakers. My system is as follows:

    -Chord 2qute w/ LDA external PSU or Technics 1210 w/Goldring 1042.
    -Albarry AP11 pre.
    -Albarry M608 monos.
    -Sony SS-G1 mk2 (a vintage gem). Atacama Stands (Basmati filled) sitting on Something Solid Missing Link Feet.
    -Tellurium Ultra Black speaker cable and interconnects. Standard Black USB.
    -MusicWorks Revo 3 stand.
    -Missing Link Cryo Ref power cables.

    My friend gave me the Sony SS-G1s recently (he bought them for 40 quid) and, having bought a soldering iron, I intend to fit new terminals, re-wire internally, maybe some new components on the crossovers, maybe even go external.... First I must learn how to solder tho!

    I'm sure you can find any info you need about your speakers here. Try starting a thread in the Blank Canvas section and ask about any mods you may have in mind.

    Take a look around the site. You'll find plenty of interesting stuff going and feel free to join in.
