    Default F.S. ditton 15 speakers

    a pair of ditton 15's
the obvious, there is no mid/bass speaker.
the not so obvious, there some rips in the grille cloth, although they dont show, and one of the badges is broken, i still have the piece and screw and washer so it can be glued, i never bothered, it stays on no problem.
the bottom of the cabs have marks and scuffs.
asking £65 + postage, or collection is welcome.
    any questions please ask.
    cheers
    Mike.

well, after puttin these up for sale i got a burst of enthusiasm and decided i'd have a go at sortin em out.
the bass/mid driver was in three piece's... previous owner had removed the magnet and the machined metal part that goes inside the voice coil.
so i pulled the voice coil dust cover off so i could see through to line it up.

after a bit of fiddling about, and a home-made spacer, i adjusted it and got it working.. no coil rub or distortion, even at very loud volume.
the mid and ABR where really bouncing..alas, no coil dust cover.

then i changed the caps with 12uf alcaps. the originals where dated 1971,
and finally, changed the screw type speaker connectors for banana plugs.

    cheers
    Mike.
