    Could be.

You mean Bev didn't die in a South African prison in the 1980s?

    Cripes, she had me fooled.

I wish I hadn't read this thread as I feel compelled to list my audio jobs for 2017 and the number of them is now depressing me! Oh well, here goes...

    1. Refurbish Leak 3090 speakers
    2. Refurbish B&O Beovox Penta speakers
    3. Refurbish Celestion Ditton 25 speakers
    4. Refurbish B&O Beovox 5000Mk3 speakers
    5. Modify Goodmans B-Max crossover so it works properly.
    6. Repair Thorens TD-224 and have a plinth made for it
    7. Repair Technics RS-9900 cassette deck
    8. Have a plinth made for Garrard 201B and find an arm for it
    9. Finish re-furbishing Technics SL-P1200 CD player
    10. Replace the tape counter belt on Beocord 2400 cassette deck
    11. Service and repair Tascam 122 cassette deck
    12. Repair Proton AA-1150 power amp

    and almost inevitably...

    13. Buy more non-working stuff and fail to get round to doing anything with it!

but finally and on a cheerier note:

    14. Join 'Vinyl Me, Please'!

I shouldn't bother, the paradise is so far ahead of it in performance.

The 834 is seriously compromised by being a feedback equalisation design IMHO.

I wouldn't bother with the Class D Alan IMO, does lots well but ultimately doesn't cut the mustard. Build a nice valve OTL! :-)

lol I posted that. Bev was talking about tattoos awhile back and I said I didn't like tattoos normally but that one I do like. Its from the Kushiels Dart the first in a series of books I read and enjoyed. The tattoo is a house mark. You can read about it here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kushiel's_Dart

I'm only going to set myself two goals for this year.
The first is to finish my DDDAC, REALLY looking forward to this, its been in pieces for too long now. The second is to build another pair of OB speakers. I currently use the Lampizator P17 DIY OB speakers and I plan to build the Lampizator P24's I have most of the drivers and the woofers on on their way to me from Russia as we speak. When the DDDAC is complete this will be my next project.
Source: Heavily modified DDDAC using MacBook Pro.
Amplification: Pre amp-Stereo Coffee pre amp on steroids.
Power amp- Rather large Colin Wonfor Class A power Amp
    Speakers: Lampizator P17 Open Baffles
Accessories: Klotz 500 DIY Interconnects & DIY speaker cable sounding better than anything commercial.
All powered from a Mother Trucker BPS with a dedicated consumer unit with 10mm armoured radial back to the house tails after the meter.
