    Default FS: KEF Reference 103

Nice pair of 103's for sale --- in decent condition given age, there is a 'dink' on one of the edges (at the back ) the photo was taken when I first discovered it so looks at it's worst ... not really noticeable.
I have removed the wadding from inside (an initial modification recommended elsewhere ) -- it opens the speakers right up and gives them a more 'modern' sound to my ears if that make sense, it may come at a little loss of control but to my ears an overall improvement --- I have kept the foam wadding if you want to put it back in ....... from other's comments it seems likely these have been recapped --- overall a nice pair of speakers for little money --- they are v heavy for their size and ofcourse were part of the reference range so quality not skimped on ......

That's a great price for speakers this good.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Yes - a very reasonable price indeed for such a good speaker in such good condition. Good luck with the sale.

Just so others know, you can turn the front plate 90 degrees and use them upright.

They're heavy ( man ) mainly due to the metal baffle.
A friend owned a pair in the '70s and I liked them.
Not sure about removing the filling though...
